Request for Proposals | 2024 Momentum Festival

The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo’s Art in Public Places Program is seeking highly interactive, community-driven, collaborative works of art that are accessible to the public and civic in scope, to be placed in key locations at this year’s Momentum Festival, taking place Friday September 20th through Sunday September 22nd, 2024.

A Design Review Board (DRB) plans to select two proposals for interactive art installations to be installed and activated as key features of Momentum Festival.

The competition is open to all artists, teams, or collectives residing and working within Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, military status, sexual orientation, marital status, or physical or mental disability.

ABOUT MOMENTUM FESTIVAL

Started in 2017, Momentum is an annual festival celebrating Toledo’s arts and culture. Funded mostly by sponsorship, Momentum creates paid opportunities for local artists in a variety of scales and formats. All programming and activities are free and open to the public during the span of the festival, and many local organizations also include programming focused on community involvement and open engagement opportunities.
